Position: Office Supervisor Location: Champaign County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) 102 E. Main Street Urbana, Illinois
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Duties: Directly supervises the employees in the Administrative Services Division of CCSO. Responsibilities include but are not limited to as other duties may be assigned:
Interviewing, providing recommendations for hiring, and training employees.
Planning, assigning, managing the schedule and time off request, and directing work.
Appraising performance: rewarding and disciplining employees.
Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Assigns, reviews and approves the work of subordinates engaged in compiling, maintaining and storing all CCSO records, including Civil Process, Law Enforcement and Corrections related records.
Secures financial operations by monitoring and approving financial processing, reporting and auditing, handles and supervises the handling of cash and checks which can exceed one hundred thousand dollars.
Oversees Sheriff foreclosures sales.
Clerical duties (include but are not limited to): basic filing, data entry, record auditing, IDOT data reporting, NTA logging, billing agencies for civil process fees and NIBRS reporting.
Coordinates record management functions with the State’s Attorneys regarding prisoner transfer and extraditions to and from Champaign County.
Coordinates the transfers of prisoners within the State or extradition from/to other states.
Responsible for proper records retention to include auditing warrants and Order of Protection files as they expire, including proper destruction of records per the State of Illinois records retention schedule.
In conjunction with the Lieutenant of Investigations, may assist in reviewing all formal requests made by the medical and the public required under the Freedom of Information Act and responds as appropriate.
Qualifications/Educations and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
One year of responsible office experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Compensation:
Salary Range: $21.50 - $31.81 per hour, depending on qualifications.
