General Job Summary

The Default Operations Associate is responsible for ordering, monitoring and maintaining property inspections and preservation orders while complying with investor and insurer regulations and guidelines as applicable. 

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Order, monitor, and review inspections and results, including FEMA and door-knock inspections
  • Order, monitor, and review property preservation and results
  • Follow-up with vendor on inspections and property preservation items
  • Review and address code violations and citations
  • Review and address property registration requirements
  • Monitor and maintain inspections department email account
  • Correspond with agencies, investors, vendors and other external entities
  • Work with internal departments regarding inspections, preservation, evictions and conveyances

Other Job Functions

  • Complete all special projects determined by default management
  • Evaluate processes and provide suggestions for improvement
  • Attend all training sessions for department
  • All other duties as assigned by management



Requirements

Education, Training and Work Experience

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required
  • Knowledge of property preservation activities required
  • Previous experience in mortgage loan servicing desired
  • Previous experience in collections and/or default servicing required
  • Previous experience in vendor management desired
  • Knowledge of MSP (ICE) desired
  • Knowledge of agency requirements related to property inspections and preservation desired

Working Environment

Primary working environment is within an indoor climate-controlled office space and/or a private home office or some combination which will be at management’s sole discretion. Employee may be subject to florescent lighting, dust, and other normal indoor allergens. Employee may work in close proximity of coworkers and occasionally independently in quiet environments.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Extended periods of sitting (at computer desk)
  • Complete repetitive tasks (including operation of computer mouse/keyboard)
