Job Description:


Wolfgang’s SEO team is seeking a talented and enthusiastic SEO Trainee with a strong technical curiosity. The ideal candidate will be the kind of person who wants to diagnose website issues, analyse traffic patterns or investigate why Google ranked a page the way it did. You’ll have a strong understanding of technical SEO and a baseline content management ability, as well as strong communication skills..


This is a 6 month trainee role paid at the living wage for its duration. Successful trainees that meet the high standard required will be offered a full time Executive position at a higher salary with Wolfgang Digital.

This role offers hybrid working, with 3 days per week required in our Dublin office.

The Role:


During your traineeship, you will:


  1. SEO Strategy and Execution: Learn how to develop and execute SEO strategies that align with business KPIs (not vanity metrics), focusing on both technical and on-page tasks.
    Learn how to tailor your approach for different types of clients.
  2. Technical SEO Analysis: Learn how to conduct technical SEO audits and implement fixes for a variety of tech SEO tasks, including site speed, mobile optimisation, and crawl errors. Manage schema mark-up and structured data.
  3. Content Creation and Management: Learn to create and manage high-quality, SEO-optimised on-page copy. Ensure alignment with client's target audience and business goals.
  4. A.I. Integration for SEO Enhancement: Stay up to date with the latest developments in AI for SEO and explore innovative ways to integrate these advancements into client strategies.
  5. Client Management: Learn how to effectively manage multiple client accounts, understanding each client's unique needs and customising strategies accordingly.
  6. Communication and Reporting: Communicate complex SEO strategies and results to clients in a way that’s accessible for non-SEOs. Create clear and informative reports and presentations.
  7. Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure cohesive strategies and execution. Cross-channel, integrated strategies are critical.
  8. Continuous Improvement and Education: Stay updated with SEO trends and educate clients on SEO best practices and its role in their digital strategy.



Job Requirements:


  • A keen interest in the wider marketing industry (both digital and traditional), and technology in general.
  • An understanding of how search engines operate and have evolved over time (including how A.I. is influencing the modern search landscape)
  • Interest in technical SEO disciplines like site speed, structured data, indexing and crawling
  • Familiarity with digital office tools (Google Suite, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong organisational skills and self-motivation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing work environment

The Expectation:


Month 3:

You’re comfortable researching issues, supporting audits, contributing to reports and optimising pages under supervision. 


Month 6:

You’re proactively identifying opportunities, communicating confidently with clients, answering their questions, and starting to develop your own SEO strategies focused on driving tangible business results.
