We are looking for a Jr Risk & Settlement Support Analyst, an analytical and detail-oriented candidate with a strong interest in digital payments and risk management. You will be responsible for ensuring the continuity of the night settlement process, making sure transactions flow seamlessly, while supporting the Risk team with targeted analyses. If you have basic knowledge of SQL, e-commerce, and are eager to grow in the fintech sector, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities
Operational Settlement
- Execute and validate reconciliation and batch processes.
- Check transaction status in the database (captured, refunding, etc.) and ensure readiness for settlement.
- Monitor PSP/bank confirmations and errors, logging and escalating incidents.
- Prepare and deliver clear handover reports.
- Manage file uploads and maintain updated internal logs.
- Support automation initiatives to reduce repetitive tasks.
Risk & Continuous Improvement
- Follow up on off-hours alerts (suspicious retries, fraud signals).
- Analyze logs and databases to detect anomalies.
- Suggest improvements for monitoring flows, dashboards, and alerts.
- Close critical tasks delegated by the Risk team.
Technical Skills
- Basic SQL for queries and validations.
- Familiarity with reconciliation and settlement flows.
- Understanding of e-commerce, payment gateways, and fraud tools (Sift, Cybersource desirable).
- Proficiency with collaborative tools such as Google Sheets, Notion, Slack, Zendesk, or Jira.
Soft Skills
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly.
- Analytical mindset and continuous improvement focus.
- Effective communication.
- Proactivity to resolve incidents using available documentation.
