Under the supervision of the Migrant Education Coordinator, Program Specialist and Bilingual Secretary, the Mobile Team Member will provide supplementary academic services to preschool migrant children.
Requirements / Qualifications
Experience:
Experience working with preschool students in tutoring situations, providing classroom assistance, or other training situations.
Education:
High school diploma, or G.E.D., and 48 semester units/72 quarter units or successful completion of paraprofessional exam.
Minimum requirements:
Must be a full time student. School transcript must show 12 units taken for Fall and Spring Semester. 12 units must be maintained throughout the school year.
Bilingual Required (Spanish/English)
Maintain a 2.3 GPA- (must submit transcripts)
Available to work flexible schedule, evenings and weekends as needed (September-May, up to 25 hours weekly)
Possess a valid California Driver’s license and proof of current insurance
Completion of the Food Handling training and proof of certification no later than 30 days after hire.
Access to or use of reliable personal vehicle
Be able to communicate effectively and utilize training received into action performed

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Passage of a pre-employment medical assessment and current tetanus shot. Some positions may require proof of privately owned automobile insurance and the possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle operator’s license. Fingerprint clearance by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. Must present verification of completion of Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training or obtain verification within six (6) weeks of hire and annually thereafter, as required by the California Child Abuse Neglect Reporting Act.
