Pay Rate: $31 - $36/hour (Depending on Experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled Mechanics / Millwrights at different levels (I, 1.5, and II) to join our team. The role involves performing maintenance to keep plant equipment, machinery, and tools in good operating condition. The position requires troubleshooting mechanical assemblies, diagnosing issues, and executing repairs on pumps, gearboxes, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The complexity of tasks and responsibilities will vary based on experience and skill level.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work from drawings, wiring diagrams, maintenance manuals, work orders, and oral instructions to install, adjust, and repair machinery.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in pumps, gearboxes, motors, cranes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
Perform welding and fabrication for structural components, equipment frames, and attachments.
Conduct periodic inspections for preventive maintenance and document findings.
Operate mobile equipment, including loaders, cranes, forklifts, and man-lifts.
Follow all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and company policies.
Assist in training coworkers and maintaining a clean work environment.
Engage in maintenance best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED (AAS in Industrial Maintenance preferred).
Experience:
Level I: 3-5 years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
Level 1.5: 4-6 years of experience with at least 2 years in a relevant department.
Level II: 5-8 years of experience with at least 2 years in a relevant department.
Technical training in mechanical maintenance.
Knowledge of AC/DC motors, gearboxes, lubrication, welding, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Understanding of shop mathematics and ability to read blueprints/schematics.
Familiarity with maintenance software (MS Office, SAP, IBA, CAD preferred).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to climb ladders, reach, squat, kneel, crawl, and stand for prolonged periods.
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and work in extreme temperatures up to 160°F.
Ability to work in cramped spaces and noisy environments.
Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
