This position will operate in a hybrid work environment, 3 days per week in the office (Philadelphia, PA).
OVERVIEW:
The primary function of the Performance Analyst, Officer position, within the Platform Solutions organization, entails participation in the calculation and review of performance measurement tasks and data supporting Glenmede’s investment businesses. The role will focus on inquiry responses and support, data validation and correction where appropriate, and the delivery of performance and analytical investment data for portfolio management and client consumption. This includes completion of business-critical recurring tasks of varying frequency, ad hoc analysis, reporting and technical projects and enhancement support, as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Quality Ownership Relating to Daily and Monthly Performance Returns. Leadership, Coordination and execution of the daily and monthly data validation process within the performance measurement system for Glenmede account performance. Resolution of issues relating to the delivery of accurate performance calculated and processed account data. Perform necessary investigation, analysis, and evaluation to determine accuracy of return metrics where applicable. Lead the monthly composite process for Private Wealth, Institutional, and Endowments and Foundations businesses to ensure accuracy of post composited returns for marketing to prospects.
Glenmede Internal Stakeholder Support. Serve as a primary point of contact for internal clients and constituents across Glenmede businesses such as the Portfolio Management, Sales, Marketing, and RFP teams as it relates to performance measurement, attribution and contribution analysis, and portfolio risk with broad investment analytics.
Participation in Maintaining GIPS® Compliance. Lead in the administration of GIPS® principles, which includes managing regulated policies and procedures; maintenance of, review, and updating of GIPS Presentations; and support in completion of the annual GIPS® verification process at Glenmede.
Ensure World Class Accuracy. Maintain high standards of quality control review and thoughtfulness in operating model design, ensuring procedures lead to best practices for full day to day accuracy. Lead in development and review of control processes for large scale business changes. Drive idea generation in the Performance Measurement and Portfolio Analytics operating model with the goal of improving process efficiency. Identify and correct data and process issues as they are found; engage with relevant internal teams in assessing improvement factors for their reporting and analytical needs or issues.
Strategic Project Implementation. Given a strong knowledge of investments, data management, client reporting, and other related analytical factors, the Performance Measurement team is uniquely suited to contribute to firm-wide projects supporting all lines of business. In this role, the Performance Analyst. Officer will generate, manage deliverables and contribute to operating model and structural initiatives within the Performance team providing high value-add analytics with a self-service focus. Mutli-focal project implementations and successes therein is a must.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Computer Science or Mathematics.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Investment and Finance knowledge inclusive of an understanding of equity and fixed income markets and indices that track those markets.
- Previous direct experience in a Performance Measurement or Portfolio Analytics role, 3-5 years of experience required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Python, Alteryx, R, or similar software packages.
- Ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts to stakeholders with varying degrees of understanding, flexibility in communication of quantitative topics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, being proactive and self-motivated while prioritizing competing tasks successful day to day.
- Proven analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to set prioritization across multiple competing high priority deliverables and work in a non-linear fashion to achieve results dynamically across priorities.
- Proven ability to excel in a fast paced, dynamic environment while always maintaining alert attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to present, write, edit, and organize thoughts in a clear, concise, and well-organized manner.
- Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems through root cause analysis and structural issue resolution that maintains efficiency and increases value add.
- Demonstrated understanding of foundational accounting concepts and PnL generation to be applied to Performance Measurement and Portfolio Analytics Computations.
