Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for stacking specified amounts individual cookies and place into the in feed of wrapper. Will pack individual wrapped packs of product into secondary packaging. Packing finished product into shipping cases by performing the following duties personally or though subordinates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Follows the GMP rules of facility and all SBC policies and SOPs.
- Ensures all product meets SBC and customer-related food safety and quality standards and notifies supervisor of any concerns.
- Properly performs metal detector checks; ability to conduct quality checks, if needed.
- Ensures that product that falls on the floor is thrown away immediately.
- Packages and moves finished product; packs product in tubs in the event of a breakdown.
- Completes any applicable computerized and paper documentation.
- If labels are added to packaging, ensure that all instructions are followed.
- Maintains awareness of temperature and humidity in packing areas and notifies the supervisor of any concerns.
- Inspects the quality of the primary and secondary packaging ensuring that all seals are secure and all packaging is in good condition. If product is re-packaged, follow all food safety standards.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Has the ability to communicate with co-workers and management in a respectful and effective manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED
- Preferred - One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation instructions and procedures.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in oral or written form.
