Key Responsibilities
- Conduct traffic and transportation planning studies: data collection, modeling, and forecasting to identify needs and opportunities.
- Develop and run transportation models for corridors, intersections, and multimodal systems.
- Prepare feasibility studies, safety studies, technical reports, GIS mapping, and presentations for public agencies and stakeholder groups.
- Identify grants and developing funding strategies based on client needs
- Assist with identification of grant opportunities to address community needs and prepare proposals for funding planning initiatives.
- Develop graphics for project concepts.
- Prepare reports and supporting documentation.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s (required) or Master’s (preferred) in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field.
- 2-7 years’ experience in transportation planning/traffic engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) or AICP license or ability to obtain; PTOE, PTP and/or RSP certification is a plus.
- Software expertise in traffic analysis software (Synchro, HCS, TransModeler, etc.)
- CAD experience (MicroStation, AutoCAD/Civil3D, etc.)
