AEPS provides security services for government (federal, state, and local), industry and commercial clients. Our team of professionals includes uniformed armed and unarmed security officers and personal protection officers.

Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for employment, you must meet the following criteria:
- Experience: At least two years of armed security, law enforcement, or military service.
- Certification: A valid State of Ohio OPOTA 20-hour firearms training certificate is required.
- If you do not currently possess this certification, please refer to the attached document for instructions on how to obtain it.
- Note: This training must be completed at your own expense prior to proceeding.
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must be citizen of the United States of America
- Must complete (sign/date) a Lautenberg Amendment Statement/Domestic Violence certification annually
Important Information About Our Hiring Process:
- AEPS is not a typical security company. Our hiring process is comprehensive and may take 6 to 8 months.
- As a Federal contractor, all candidates must pass a government background check, which can take 1 to 6 months.
- Employment cannot begin until this check is successfully completed.
- Upon clearance, candidates must complete a physical exam, including an agility test.
- All new hires are required to complete the following in-house training:
- 36 hours of classroom instruction
- 4 hours of OC/BAT training
- 4 hours of CPR certification
- 32 hours of firearms training and qualification
