About the Role:
As a Residential Installer at Tom's Mechanical, Inc., you will play a critical role in the successful installation of mechanical systems within commercial construction projects. Your primary focus will be to ensure that all installations meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency, contributing directly to the overall functionality and longevity of the building systems. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to interpret blueprints and technical specifications accurately. This role demands a strong commitment to adhering to project timelines and regulatory compliance, ensuring that installations are completed on schedule and within code requirements. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience (2 plus years) as a residential installer
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with safety standards and building codes relevant to HVAC mechanical installations.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and working in various environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of an apprenticeship or formal training program in HVAC.
- Understanding of safety standards
- Experience with specialized HVAC systems
- Strong communication skills and experience working in team-based environments.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine HVAC installation requirements.
- Install, assemble, and secure HVAC systems such as units, piping, and ductwork in residential buildings.
- Coordinate with project managers and other construction professionals to ensure seamless integration of HVACl systems.
- Perform quality checks and troubleshoot installation issues to maintain compliance with safety and building codes.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used, and report progress regularly to supervisors/management.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to create a safe working environment.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior installers or apprentices as needed.
