Job Summary:

As a Test Technician, you will perform a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tests on Printed Circuit Board assemblies, including Functional Tests, Environmental Tests, Diagnostic scripts, etc. by follows predetermined methods and sequence of operations in performing tests following Manufacturing Test Procedures (MTP)

 

 Job responsibilities:

  • Perform tests designed by others, following Manufacturing Test Procedures (MTP) with basic understanding.
  • Conduct moderate to complex testing including Functional, Thermal, Shock, Vibration, and Environmental assessments.
  • Set up and operate test equipment in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Utilize a variety of test equipment to ensure high-quality integration and performance of products.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot prototype and pre-production test fixtures proactively and reactively.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement new test tools and provide ongoing support.
  • Offer constructive feedback to improve test documentation, equipment, and processes.
  • Make minor adjustments to testing methods to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Communicate technical information clearly, including explanations and interpretations as needed.
  • Perform other assigned tasks to support team and project goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently active U.S. military personnel eligible for SkillBridge opportunities
  • Solid understanding of basic electrical theory
  • Familiarity with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) procedures
  • Proficient in basic computer operations
  • Skilled in operating test equipment, printed circuit board assemblies, sub-assemblies, and computers
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in testing printed circuit boards and sub-assemblies
  • Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and arithmetic

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree
  • Interpretation or deviation from standard procedures
  • Ability to multi-task concurrently
  • Working under moderate supervision
  • Ability to work with general instructions

  1. Constantly move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.  Specific abilities required by the job include positioning oneself to lift or move objects weighing up to 40lbs.
  2. Constant movement and use of limbs. Specific abilities required by this job include prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and frequently pinching and/or gripping.  Sometimes, working under a microscope for long periods of time will be required
  3. Frequently observe, detect, discern, and convey information. Specific abilities required by this job include near, far and color vision acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  4. Requires good manual dexterity and coordination, and stamina. Specific abilities required by this job include the frequent requirement of overtime work.
