Overview
The Construction Cost Analyst will support the DCMP project by providing detailed cost analysis for disaster-related construction and home repair projects for Lee, Manatee, Charlotte, and Desoto counties. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the effective allocation of resources and adherence to budgets in line with DCMP standards. The Analyst will work closely with case managers, contractors, volunteer rebuild organizations, and stakeholders to evaluate project scopes, verify cost estimates, and ensure compliance with applicable funding and regulatory guidelines.
Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate scope of work for home repair and reconstruction projects submitted through DCMP case management.
- Prepare, review, and validate cost estimates for labor, materials, and services.
- Monitor and track construction project budgets, timelines, and financial expenditures.
- Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and volunteer rebuild organizations to ensure cost accuracy and proper documentation.
- Ensure all work aligns with local, state, and federal disaster recovery regulations, including permitting and compliance standards.
- Assist in the development of financial reporting tools and maintain detailed records of construction project costs.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, including funders and regulatory bodies.
- Support quality assurance efforts to ensure that completed projects meet required safety and construction standards.
