SUMMARY

Leads and coordinates activities of department workers by performing the following duties.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

  • Ensure all employees in work area are working safely within the department and wearing proper PPE
  • Ensure area employees are following company quality policy
  • Maintain production schedules by coordinating workflow, preparing tooling/fixtures, and helping in the setup of machines
  • Verify work order operations are being completed and sign off on jobs as required by company policies
  • Maintain outgoing quality and scrap rates within the department
  • Coach/Train employees on proper techniques and machine operation
  • Mentor new employees in the department to safely and properly run equipment and produce product within company standards
  • Trouble shoot problem jobs and work with support groups to develop solutions
  • Ensure tooling and equipment is maintained and in good working condition.
  • Maintain area cleanliness and organization
  • Run production as required to maintain production schedules and overall area productivity standards
