OAK Orthopedics, a division of Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, is a leader in comprehensive orthopedic services with nationally recognized doctors and sports medicine doctors that serve professional athletes and are dedicated to serving the community with the most advanced orthopedic care.


We are currently seeking a part time Radiologic Technologist. Candidates must be willing to travel between our Frankfort and Tinley Park offices, with availability for a rotating Saturday schedule.


Duties include:

  • Performs radiology procedures as ordered by the physician(s) in such a way to assure reliability of results and patient safety
  • Ability to do fluoroscopy
  • Assists in maintaining appropriate equipment and supplies in the department
  • Maintains documentation of patient testing information
  • Performs radiology procedures in a manner to comply with state and federal regulations
  • Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Must be flexible with hours. 1-2 Saturdays/month
  • Occasional surgery coverage, experience is not necessary, but preferred.
  • Completes other comparable duties and assignments as directed by the Radiology Manager


Requirements


  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • State Radiologic Technology licensure
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
  • CPR certified
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Knowledgeable in computer systems (e.g. PACS), MS Word, Excel and others
  • Able to lift and assist patients as needed for proper positioning

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience.
