Job Overview: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining complex industrial machinery and equipment within the manufacturing facility, ensuring smooth operation by performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and making necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performing scheduled maintenance tasks like lubrication, cleaning, inspections, and adjustments to prevent equipment breakdowns
- Diagnosing and fixing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on industrial equipment, including identifying faulty components and replacing parts
- Installing new equipment, aligning machinery, and making necessary adjustments to ensure proper function
- Interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, and work orders to understand equipment operation and repair procedures
- Perform welding, sheet metal and machine tool operations when required in repairing equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Shift and Schedule:
- Full-time, days
- 10-hour shift Monday through Friday
- Saturdays as scheduled

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, including gears, bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
- Ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions by analyzing symptoms and using diagnostic tools
- Skilled use of various hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for maintenance tasks
- Understanding of electrical systems, including wiring diagrams and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and develop effective repair solutions
- Meticulous approach to ensure proper maintenance and identify potential problems before they occur
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree in industrial maintenance or other related field preferred but not required
- Prior work as a maintenance technician in a related industry highly beneficial
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- Walking, standing for long periods, climbing ladders, bending, crouching, crawling
- Regularly lifting and carrying objects weighing 50 pounds or more
- Reaching with hands and arms to access equipment and tight spaces
- Using hands to operate tools and controls with precision
- Ability to see clearly for visual inspections of machinery and equipment
