The Avionics Hardware Team at Hermeus is responsible for the design, testing, and integration of GNC systems, electrical hardware, control software, power distribution, and RF communications.
Hermeus is seeking talented students to join our Avionics Hardware Engineering team for the Spring 2026 semester.
This is a full-time paid internship that will last around 12-16 weeks (January- April).

Responsibilities:
As an avionics electrical engineer, you'll take charge of designing and testing custom electrical systems for both ground test and flight applications.
You will ensure the seamless integration and compatibility of your designs at the sub-system and integrated system level.
As a member of the avionics team, you'll have the opportunity to work across disciplines to create control and instrumentation systems for engine, structural, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Minimum Requirements:
Practical experience designing, building, and testing vehicles through internships, studies or projects.
Must be currently enrolled in a STEM program at an accredited college or university (undergraduate student in your third or fourth year of study, or enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program).
Strong interest in vehicle hardware.
Strong understanding of engineering first principles.
Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams.
Enthusiasm for aviation and Hermeus's mission.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
GPA of 3.0 or above.
