Under general supervision from the Production Manager, the Inventory Specialist, CIM performs a variety of duties in receiving, issuing, handling, and accounting for inventory stock in the CI Manufacturing warehouse and racking system.


  

Essential Functions

Inventory:

  • Develops and maintains inventory control procedures.
  • Continually updates the inventory utilizing Snap Tracker capabilities and functions.
  • Receives delivered supplies, materials, and equipment; confirms that delivered goods match purchase order specifications of quantity, condition, model number, etc; completes all necessary paperwork for stock items received, and forwards to supervisor.
  • Based on work order requirements, pulls appropriate items to be utilized to fulfill orders and stages in appropriate areas to be worked on.
  • Responsible for weekly cycle counts of inventory verifying accuracy of inventory tracking system.
  • Evaluates current inventory to determine best use of space and financial impact.
  • Schedules, pulls, and stages products to be sent to recycling.
  • Cleans aisle ways.
  • Able to drive Forktruck 
  • Understanding and ability to use Snap Tracker to help manage inventories.


Quality Control:

  • Develops and maintains quality control procedures.
  • Continually checks finished product for accuracy of order, craftsmanship, and quantities ordered.
  • Verifies packaging of finished materials are appropriate for shipping. 
  • Maps current quality issues and trends that are presented monthly to the Production Manager.
  • Participates in vendor meetings, workshops, and testing to verify, maintain, and increase overall quality of imported items.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma /GED preferred.

  • Previous inventory and shipping & receiving experience.
  • Excellent communication skills: written, technical and verbal.
  • Assertive, flexible and displays a strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
