Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for over 50 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center also offers primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care. Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff. 


Summary:

The Recruiter researches, develops, and implements effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent to the organization. This includes creating professional relationships through in-person events, use of social media and finding talent through innovative sourcing and recruiting technology. The Recruiter also completes onboarding, and assists with orientation, training, develops strategies for diversified recruitment, employee retention, and data driven outcomes. 


Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 4:30pm


Health Care Recruiter Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the recruitment team to create effective strategies for attracting quality talent.
  • Utilizes online resources, such as social media, as well as traditional job placement sources to find candidates.
  • Consults with the hiring manager to understand the requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for the specified vacant position(s).
  • Screens candidates, selects qualified and interested candidates for the interviewing phase, and then connects viable candidates with the hiring managers.
  • Helps with salary and benefits negotiations.
  • Keep accurate records on candidates and the processes followed
  • Collects and analyzes data to maintain current understanding of fair and competitive market salaries, candidate availability, and demand for candidates in particular fields.
  • Consults data and records to identify and select potential candidates for vacant positions.
  • Checks candidates references and credentials, verifying experience and backgrounds.
  • Counsels candidates on the interview and hiring process.
  • Organizes and attends job fairs, organizational events, and other networking opportunities.
  • Follows up with candidates and hiring managers after the interview process to determine whether a placement can be made; collects feedback when placement is unsuccessful.
  • Arranges meeting locations, travel, and/or accommodations for applicants and company managers when necessary.
  • Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with aptitude in conducting interviews.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Thorough understanding of EEO, ADA, and other related employment laws and guidelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Associate or Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field preferred, not required.
  • At least two years of human resources or related experience required.
  • 1+ years of mental health or health care recruiting experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
