About the Role:
We’re building a new offering focused on the rapidly growing Wellness sector—a space where food, drink, beauty, health, fitness, and technology are converging. As the Commercial Director of Wellness, you will be the driving force behind the commercial success and thought leadership of this new area. This is a unique opportunity to shape how our business engages with the world’s most dynamic consumer trend.
You will own the revenue and market development strategy while working hand-in-hand with our content, research, and marketing teams to ensure best-in-class output. A blend of entrepreneurial spirit, commercial acumen, and editorial rigor will be essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Leadership & Market Development
- Lead the execution of the Wellness sector strategy, including revenue targets, client acquisition, and market positioning.
- Act as the business development lead—pitching, closing, and managing key client relationships across CPG, beauty, food & drink, health, fitness, and tech.
- Build and maintain a deep understanding of Wellness trends and the evolving competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with Sales to develop go-to-market plans, pricing strategies, and sales enablement tools.
- Act as the public face of the Wellness vertical—representing the business at industry events, webinars, and client workshops.
Content & Product Oversight
- Collaborate to define the content and product roadmap in collaboration with editorial, data, and marketing teams.
- Ensure the Wellness content, reports, and deliverables are insightful, actionable, and market-leading.
- Work with Marketing to create campaigns, thought leadership, and content that drive inbound demand and position us as experts in Wellness.
- Provide feedback loops from clients and the market to continuously improve the product.
Collaboration & Internal Influence
- Serve as the cross-functional lead for the Wellness vertical, ensuring alignment between Sales, Content, Marketing, and Product teams.
- Drive thought leadership initiatives and create opportunities for innovation within the Wellness space.
- Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategy to meet revenue and engagement targets.
About You:
- Proven commercial leader with a strong background in business development, sales, or market expansion, ideally in insights, market research, or media.
- Deep passion for and knowledge of the Wellness sector and how it impacts consumer behavior across multiple industries. Additionally; Conversant with the wellness language in the industry with a passion for the subject
- Strong editorial instincts—able to shape content strategy and ensure high-quality, actionable insights.
- Exceptional communicator, comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and building client relationships at the executive level.
- Entrepreneurial mindset—excited by the opportunity to build a business within a business.
- Collaborative and highly effective in a matrix environment, influencing without direct authority.
- Comfortable with conflict and negotiation (internal) in a fast moving business
- Travel globally and be open to meetings across time zones
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in commercial roles, ideally with exposure to content-led businesses, research, or consulting.
- Strong understanding of the consumer, food, drink, beauty, or health & wellness industries.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute growth strategies.
- Strong network within brands operating in the Wellness space is a plus.
