As an Inside Account Manager / Subject Matter Expert with AWC, you will work directly with inside team, customer service, technical account managers, business development, and our technology partners to meet customer needs. You will strive to leverage solutions dedicated to enhancing efficiency, safety, and productivity for our customers.   The ideal candidate will have a background and be recognized as an SME, in overpressure protection which includes Relief Valves, Rupture Disk, and Tank Vents.  Candidates must have proven track record of leading and supporting teams to success in above attributes for Louisiana market or similar market.   

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, serving as their primary point of contact for inquiries and support whenever needed.
  • Intimate learning of our AWC Business system from Sales & Operations perspective as well as building logistics.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on our Over Protection Products both internal at AWC and external when necessary with our Technical Account Managers at customer sites.
  • Be key point person to grow and strengthen our relationships with our Technology Partners as required and needed.
  • Provide technical expertise to AWC technical account managers and customers on overpressure protection equipment such as pressure relief valves, rupture discs and tank vents. This will include sizing, product selection and trouble shooting.
  • Be able to make product recommendations to customers and help them identify the best technology to solve their needs.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including service shops, engineering, materials management, and logistics, to ensure timely delivery and installation of products
  • Review work processes to ensure that internal and external quality standards are followed and offer suggestions to increase efficiency
  • Establish and help manage customer requirements, process Request for Quotes (RFQ), Purchase Orders (PO), and specific Customer contracts/agreements.
  • Set up & Manage customer requirements (Quote & Order) and customer account codes as required.

 

Skills you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or direct Business-related experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in account management, inside sales, or business development within the industrial controls and automation industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with clients
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction and relationship-building
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals
  • Willingness to be on call for after-hours & weekend support periodically

Here’s what will set you apart:

  • Specific Business Development and/or Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in a certain niche area to help provide solutions in our Over Pressure Protection Line of Business that benefits AWC Louisiana and possibly all AWC.
  • Knowledgeable in the design, sizing and selection of overpressure protection equipment such as Pressure Relief Valves, Rupture Discs and Tank Vents. Experience with brands that AWC represents is preferred.
