SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Engineer to lead the management, monitoring, and troubleshooting of a hybrid Azure infrastructure. This role offers end-to-end ownership of services across Azure Virtual Machines, Kubernetes (AKS), Database Services, Storage, and hybrid connectivity with on-premises environments.

You will act as the subject matter expert and primary escalation point for all Azure-related operations, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of our cloud infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Architect, configure, and maintain Azure cloud services, ensuring performance, scalability, and availability.
• Manage and troubleshoot site-to-site VPNs and hybrid network configurations (including ExpressRoute) between Azure and on-premises environments.
• Administer and maintain Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS): deployment, scaling, patching, and monitoring.
• Oversee Azure Database services (SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, MySQL), including backups and performance tuning.
• Manage Azure Storage accounts, Blob Storage, and Azure Data Lake with access controls, data retention, and lifecycle policies.
• Implement and maintain observability tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights) for proactive alerting and diagnostics.
• Perform root cause analysis and permanent resolutions for infrastructure incidents.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure complies with Azure Security Center and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with DevOps, application, and network teams to deliver secure and resilient infrastructure solutions.
• Act as Level 3 escalation for critical incidents and coordinate with Microsoft Support as needed.
  

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Microsoft Azure environments.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Azure VM provisioning, patching, and backup
• AKS administration and CI/CD integration
• Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL/MySQL
• Azure Storage and Data Lake governance
• Hybrid networking, VPN, and ExpressRoute
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform or ARM templates).
• Deep understanding of Azure RBAC, IAM, and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring, performance optimization, and cost management in Azure.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage complex troubleshooting scenarios.
