Description

Aduro Advisors is looking for bright and talented individuals to join our team working to support top-tier clients in the Venture Capital & Private Equity space. We're seeking a highly experienced and dynamic VP of Client Service (VPCS) to design and lead a unified client experience across Aduro's lines of service.

The VP of Client Service will be responsible for the evolution of Aduro’s service offerings while maintaining the high-touch client experience Aduro is known for as we continue to scale. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in fund administration, a strong understanding of the alternative investment landscape, and a proven track record of building and nurturing long-term client relationships and service teams at scale.


Here is the type of work you will do:

  • Cohesive Aduro Client Experience: Refine and update the Aduro client journey. From client onboarding to ongoing service delivery, the VPCS is responsible for the vision and execution of a scalable, seamless, and high-touch client experience across all service offerings. 
  • Cohesive Service Offering: Design and implement a seamless and efficient client experience across all Aduro services, including fund administration, management company administration, compliance, and treasury. This includes proposing and developing new value-add services and fostering their path to launch. 
  • Service Delivery Evolution & Technology Adoption: Collaborate with senior leadership across Aduro to evolve our service offering to ensure that Aduro meets the changing needs of our growing client base. Oversee the design and adoption of technology and associated internal workflows to supplement the Aduro service team. This includes but is not limited to Agentic AI, automation, key software implementations, and leveraging a service center model to enhance our team's capabilities.
  • Client Relationship Management: Monitor and develop relationships with key Aduro clients; foster a proactive approach to client relationship management across Aduro
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop senior client service team leaders, fostering a culture of client-centricity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with sales, product, operations, and technology teams to ensure a consistent client experience from onboarding through ongoing service.
  • Market & Industry Insight: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive developments within the alternative investment and fund administration sectors to anticipate client needs and inform service enhancements.
  • Performance Measurement: Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to client satisfaction, service quality, team productivity, and financial performance across all lines of service 
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimizing resource allocation.
  • Manage budgets and resource planning for the client service function, ensuring efficient utilization while meeting service objectives.
  • Maintain and analyze team utilization metrics and client demand scores, identifying areas for improvement and communicating them to relevant stakeholders.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent Aduro at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, demonstrating expertise and contributing to the firm's reputation.


The salary range for the VP of Client Service position is $230,000 - $270,000. Salary is determined based on current market data and candidate experience level. The VP, Client Service is eligible to participate in the Aduro Bonus Program and an employee Equity Plan.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in client-facing roles within the financial services industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position (e.g., Director, VP, Managing Director) in fund administration or a related field.
  • Mandatory: Deep and comprehensive understanding of fund administration operations for alternative investment funds (e.g., hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, real estate funds).
  • Mandatory: Proven track record of successfully managing and growing client relationships, demonstrating exceptional client retention and satisfaction.
  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments, investment strategies, and regulatory environments relevant to alternative investments (e.g., SEC, FATCA, CRS).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving client challenges.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex, and highly regulated environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, CFA, or other relevant professional certifications.
  • Experience with fund accounting software and investor reporting platforms.
  • A strong network within the alternative investment management community.
