Volunteer Position

Community Living Members (Positions Below)

Community Living (CL) Queen's, in partnership with Community Living Kingston, is dedicated to improving accessibility and fostering an inclusive environment for individuals with disabilities at Queen’s University. The organization works towards creating a supportive community that embraces diversity and provides opportunities for engagement and growth. By participating in CL Queen's, team members and volunteers will contribute to the planning and execution of events, collaborate with Community Living Kingston, and help maintain an active and engaging social media presence. The commitment for all positions is approximately 3 hours per week, with responsibilities that include attending weekly team meetings, planning new events, and volunteering in various capacities.

Applications will be open until September 8th at 4 PM EST.

Time Commitment

6 month-term from November 2025 to April 30th, 2026 with a time commitment of approx. 3 hours/week.

Role and Responsibilities:

Events Coordinator

You'll assist with planning, booking, and coordinating logistics to ensure everything runs smoothly. From venue setup to day-of coordination, this role is perfect for someone detail-oriented and loves organizing.

Fundraising Coordinator 

Help drive the heart of our club's impact! As a fundraising team member, you’ll brainstorm creative initiatives, reach out to community partners and organizations for gift cards and sponsorships, and assist in planning campaigns that raise funds and awareness. You’ll also aid in identifying funding opportunities and filling out grant applications to further expand our reach and impact.

Marketing Coordinator 

Are you creative and good with social media? Help us grow our online presence by creating engaging posts, highlighting events, and sharing our mission with the broader community through our educational Friday Facts. You'll help run our Instagram and other platforms, design and research for educational graphics and bring our club’s work to life online!

Volunteer Coordinator

Help lead and support our amazing volunteers! In this role, you'll manage communication, scheduling, and outreach for volunteer opportunities with our partnership organization, Community Living Kingston & District. You'll be the go-to person for ensuring volunteers feel informed, appreciated, and engaged throughout the year.

General Members

Looking to get hands-on experience with Community Living Kingston & District? Join us as a General Member! You’ll support our events, volunteer with Community Living Kingston & District, and club initiatives throughout the year. It’s a great way to meet new people, give back to the community, and be part of a fun and meaningful cause, no experience needed, just a willingness to help and learn!
