Hybrid Slitter Operator at Printpack Jackson

This is a 3rd Shift (11pm-7am) Monday - Friday. Candidates must be willing to transition to either 2nd or 3rd. Starting pay is $21.77/hr with a $2.50/hr shift differential for hours worked between 7p and 7a.
**Candidates may need to train on day shift for 4-6 months before transitioning to permanent shift, but this is not guaranteed.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Operate a slitter at or above plant EFM goals while meeting all safety requirements
- Run quality product/identify quality issues
- Use PRISM to move orders/product through finishing dept
- Ability to learn/use the automated roll handling system integrated with the slitter
- Participate in preventative maintenance of slitters and automated roll handling system
- Have fine visual discrimination skills including color
- Ability to understand layout and specifications
- Ability to learn process troubleshooting skills and apply troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to learn/use PRISM
- Troubleshoot the slitters and integrated automated roll handling system
Skills Required:
- High School diploma or GED
- Able to read layouts
- Attention to detail
- Able to read measuring instruments including a tape measure
- Knowledge of dimensional measurements
- Able to work with fractions and decimals
- Willingness and ability to work any shift
- Current associates in Formal or greater level of counseling are not eligible to apply.
