We are currently hiring a Hospice Aide to join our outstanding team at The Pillars Hospice Home—a compassionate, mission-driven community providing end-of-life care in a supportive and dignified environment.

Wage: $19.38-$24.65
Shifts Available: Full-Time 0.8 FTE Evening Shift 3:00pm-11:30pm (Every other weekend) 

  • Provide direct personal care and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) according to each patient’s plan of care.
  • Deliver quality end-of-life support to minimize suffering and foster comfort for residents.
  • Assist with delegated procedures as directed by the RN, within state-permitted scope.
  • Accurately document care in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational protocols.
  • Support daily home operations, including meal preparation, cleaning, organizing, and stocking.
  • Communicate effectively with the RN and interdisciplinary team, reporting observations, changes, and patient/family needs.
  • Collaborate as a team member to ensure the needs of patients and the home are met.

What We’re Looking For

  • Completion of a Hospice Aide training program and competency evaluation.
  • Understanding of hospice philosophy and services provided through an interdisciplinary care team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with compassion for end-of-life care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain professionalism in sensitive situations.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • Registered Nursing Assistant listed on the Minnesota Registry
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • Strong technical and communication skills
  • Understanding of and commitment to resident rights and dignity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or memory care settings

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to push/pull up to 75 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, bending, and walking throughout the shift.
  • Occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
