Job Summary Manage the day-to-day activities of the Refugee Social Services (RSS) grant program which delivers social adjustment services to newly arrived refugee and asylee program participants. Lead the RSS grant program team, align program activities with grant outcomes, monitor performance metrics, and develop new initiatives as informed by participant need. Foster and maintain relationships with relevant community resource providers to secure resources and referrals. Supervise other staff working within the RSS grant program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Related duties may be assigned.
Provide leadership, evaluation, and supervision of the RSS grant program team.
As needed, depending upon RSS grant program team workload, meet with program participants to determine eligibility, conduct intake and develop service plans.
Monitor the quality of program services and case notes. Provide guidance to team members and adapt to changing case note requirements as dictated by the funder.
Develop and maintain a network with other community service providers.
Prepare programmatic reports including a monthly Salesforce report per the grant standards
Proactively identify program needs, challenges and respond to changes. Then, enact well-thought-out strategies and direct team implementation.
As needed, provide direct services to participants and make appropriate referrals.
Attend programmatic meetings.
Develop and provide community outreach and informational sessions.
Assist the RIS program director in writing grant proposals for the RSS grant program.
Work with, and maintain a relationship with vital existing partners including IDHS, Winnebago County Health Department, Catholic Charities- Rockford.
Work towards performance standards for all programs and hold meetings with staff to work together for goal achievement.
Attend trainings.
Maintain a general awareness and understanding of the RSS grant program budgets to help the Program Director ensure funds are spent appropriately and effectively.
Direct the marketing, communication, and outreach of all RSS grant program events as needed.
Act as a resource for agencies, schools, councils, employers etc.to promote greater understanding of the needs of program participants.
If bilingual, provide interpretation and/or translation services to program participants.
Show flexibility and understanding in dealing with persons from diverse, social, economic and educational backgrounds.
Accept appropriate additional responsibilities as requested.
Other duties as assigned.
Regular attendance is expected.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required in Sociology, Psychology, or other related field. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
Minimum 2 years’ experience working with immigrants and/or refugees
Minimum 1 year experience in a leadership position.
Proficient in computer software including Word and Excel
Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships (including with outside agencies).
Flexibility and ability to multi-task.
Preferred: Bilingual in either Spanish, French, Arabic, or Swahili.
Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.
