Position Overview
The Area Director is responsible for the oversight and success of the Plano location and two additional Anytime Fitness clubs. This leader will develop, train, and mentor Club Managers, helping them grow into strong, accountable leaders who can build high-performing teams. The Area Director serves as an extension of ownership and is expected to lead with both business acumen and high Positive Intelligence (PQ)—maintaining mental fitness, resilience, and focus under pressure, while fostering an empowered, solution-oriented culture across all clubs.

Responsibilities:
Provide development, mentorship, and leadership to Club Managers, ensuring they are equipped to lead their teams with confidence and accountability
Model and cultivate a high PQ mindset, fostering positivity, resilience, and solution-focused thinking throughout all clubs
Hold Club Managers and their teams accountable for meeting performance standards, KPIs, and organizational values, while coaching them through challenges in a constructive and supportive manner
Lead staff to consistently meet and exceed monthly revenue and growth targets
Oversee club operations across multiple locations, including personal training, membership sales, customer experience, and operational efficiency
Partner with ownership to streamline systems and processes that drive overall profitability and scale
Inspire a culture of excellence, adaptability, and ongoing improvement across all teams
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
3–5 years of management experience, with at least 2 years in the fitness industry highly preferred
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and hold teams accountable while developing future leaders
Strong grasp of Positive Intelligence (PQ) principles, with the ability to stay resilient, positive, and solution-oriented in high-pressure situations
Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, combined with a top-tier customer service approach to conducting business
Previous sales experience required, with sales management experience highly desired
Previous experience with fitness club management software (Club O/S, Club Ready, MyFitnessPal, etc.) is a plus
