Purpose of Position:
The purpose of this job is to support the care and development of foster children by recruiting, screening, training, licensing, managing, and re-licensing foster parents. You will also provide on-going training and support to licensed foster parents.
Responsibilities:
- Meet and maintain the caseload standards and goals, as outlined Foster Care Executive Director.
- Recruit Foster Homes that meet or exceed the quality standards of the program.
- Provide all necessary training for Foster Parents, and to ensure that trainings are complete, current, and compliant with program standards.
- Assist Foster Families in coping and adjusting to day-to-day issues involving the children placed in their homes.
- Work closely with Foster Parents on any issues that are identified relating to the care provided to children placed with them.
- License and relicense all Foster Homes in the caseload.
- Visit Foster Homes quarterly and as needed to ensure Foster Care quality standards are met.
- Provide general support for all Foster Families.
- Coordinate placements and discharges for Foster Clients.
- Maintain updated case records, files, and database records in an efficient manner.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities, including agency in-service training, professional seminars, workshops, and conferences.
- Work with children to address well-being needs by providing telephone consultation and home visits to support stability of the placement.
- Demonstrate the ability to recognize and to respond to a client’s needs accordingly.
- Establish and nurture trusting and supporting relationships.
- Communicate effectively with a diverse group of people, in varying settings, and during challenging life circumstances.
- Complete quality and timely case file reports with strict attention to detail.
- Prioritize and make adjustments as necessary to meet changing circumstances.
- Possess the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Possess excellent public speaking and presentations skills.
Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum Experience/Education
Bachelor's degree in social work or bachelor's degree in a human services field and one year of direct related experience or bachelor's degree and two years direct related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment and Conditions
~The majority of the time is spent in an office setting, although visits to the sites where services are being
provided are necessary.
~Ability to move from sitting to standing often depending on project/task.
