WHAT WE NEED
The Maintenance Parts Planner/Scheduler plays an integral function within the maintenance department at Baldwin Richardson Foods by ensuring replacement parts and equipment are cataloged, organized, scheduled, and easily accessible to support proactive maintenance activities. The role requires strong organizational and planning skills, a general mechanical understanding to identify parts and equipment, and the ability to efficiently use MS Word, Excel, and SAP S4/HANA as a CMMS.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Partner with maintenance team members to manage a parts inventory to fit the needs of the business and place orders parts when necessary.
- Must be able to work within the maintenance team to accurately communicate/document events by utilizing the standardized shift log on a regular basis so that others have the most effective information to solve problems.
- Inspect all incoming parts for quality and accuracy to the order before accepting and logging the part.
- Responsible for ensuring accurate data entry in a timely manner including work orders, shift reports, and preventative maintenance documentation.
- Develop and maintain a vendor data base of parts in conjunction with the purchasing team.
- Assist in developing and maintain a catalog of equipment manuals, and drawings.
- Accurately maintain the maintenance file share system.
- Communicate with the maintenance team to ensure the correct parts are maintained.
- Ensure company metrics are met and supports team and company goals.
- Ability to be flexible with scheduling including but not limited to working overtime, off shifts, weekends, holidays and being on-call.
- Follows proper Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) including wearing personal protective equipment.
- Adheres to all safety requirements.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- A minimum of two (2) years related experience in data management in a manufacturing setting required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- A minimum of (5) years of hands-on experience with machine parts, mechanical and/or electromechanical preferred.
- Experience with a CMMS system such as SAP strongly preferred
- Database data entry experience, such as Excel or Access
- Hands on experience with machine parts, mechanical and/or electromechanical and/or experience in a manufacturing planning role would be extremely helpful
- Experience in a manufacturing planning role.
- Experience developing and maintaining a preventive maintenance schedule.

- Knowledge of basic mechanical and basic electrical skills
