Additional Information: Show/Hide Palmyra Area School District is seeking applicants for our open full-time Custodian position at the High School.
If offered a position, upon completion of all required employment paperwork, you may begin to work immediately so that you are trained and ready. You will be guaranteed full-time work during your training.
Qualifications for our full-time Custodian position:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older
Must be able to provide the required clearances for Pennsylvania - and they are paid for by Palmyra Area School District!
PA Child Abuse Clearance
PA Criminal Clearance
FBI Clearance
Must be able to work independently with or without supervision
Minimum starting rate of $15.40 - $18.69 per hour; credit may be given for relevant experience
Working hours:
During the school year will be primarily 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM; In-Service days may have the opportunity to work day-shift
Summer hours will be primarily Monday - Thursday working 10-hours during the daytime (6:00 AM - 4:00 PM) with Fridays off.
Paid holidays OFF!
Overtime hours available
Must be able to report for snow removal
Must possess a positive attitude, be energetic, be a team player and take pride in your work
Responsibilities for our Custodian position:
Cleaning classrooms, offices, bathrooms, hallways/stairwells, multi-purpose rooms, windows, etc.
Daily trash removal
Event set-up and tear down
Minor maintenance fixes
Transferring items to different locations within the buildings, including lifting boxes
Summer cleaning as assigned

If you do not need benefits, a paid waiver is provided annually!
Palmyra Area School District will pay the full cost of tuition and any reasonable expenses for courses, workshops, seminars, conferences, or in-service training sessions (up to $1,200/year)
After five (5) years of service to PASD, a full-time support staff employee will be moved the midpoint if they have not reached it by that time
Employees will have a pension through the Pennsylvania School Employee Retirement System (PSERS)
Employees are eligible to participate in 403(b) and Roth 403(b) programs
