MANTECH seeks a results-driven Business Systems Analyst and Tester to join our team supporting financial system development and testing efforts within the Department of Defense in Herndon, VA. You will play a key role in aligning Momentum Financial Management software functionality with DoD and USAF financial requirements, ensuring the delivery of compliant and high-value IT solutions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:You will analyze, test, and support financial management systems while collaborating across teams to drive process improvements and software quality.Provide support for Momentum Financial Management software, including system configuration, troubleshooting, and ensuring alignment with operational environments.Analyze and document IT system requirements, conduct functional analysis, and support the full Software/System Development Life Cycle by writing and executing test cases.Develop and run SQL queries to validate system data and support reporting or analysis requirements across financial systems.Collaborate with team members and leadership to manage priorities, maintain software development tools, and deliver accurate project updates with minimal oversight.Proactively learn new tools and technologies to enhance individual and team effectiveness and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.Communicate effectively through clear documentation and oral briefings, ensuring productive coordination with peers, senior personnel, and customer stakeholders.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree; an additional 4 years of related experience might be substituted for a degree3+ years of experience testing or supporting federal or DoD financial systems, preferably within the USAFExperience using or supporting Momentum Financial Management software, with knowledge of its configuration, operational settings, and related tools such as Momentum Financials and report design utilitiesStrong understanding of DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) financial processes, preferably with USAF-specific terminology and workflowsProficiency with the Software/System Development Life Cycle, including demonstrated experience analyzing requirements, conducting functional analysis, and writing/executing system and user acceptance testsAbility to write and execute SQL queries to support data validation and test analysis, with familiarity in SAP Business Objects and other data reporting tools Preferred Qualifications:Strong communication and task management skills, including the ability to follow managerial guidance, maintain updates in development support tools, and work independently in a fast-paced environment Clearance Requirements:Active U.S. Secret clearance is requiredSpecial Background Investigation must be current (within the past 5 years)Clearance must be transferable and subject to government approval to support the project Physical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position for more than 50% of the timeMust be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnelConstantly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment
