About the Role:

The IT Intern role within Ohana Pacific Health is designed to provide hands-on experience in supporting and maintaining the organization's information technology infrastructure. The intern will contribute to ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems that are critical to patient care and administrative functions. This position offers an opportunity to learn about healthcare-specific IT challenges, including data security, compliance, and system integration. The intern will work closely with experienced IT professionals to assist in troubleshooting, system updates, and user support. Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of computer systems, networking, and common operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Demonstrated interest in healthcare technology and willingness to learn about healthcare regulations and data privacy.
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with healthcare IT systems such as Electronic Health Records (EHR) or Health Information Systems (HIS).
• Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or SQL.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices relevant to healthcare data protection.
• Previous internship or project experience in an IT support or healthcare technology role.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar credentials.
