Job Summary: The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of the organization's IT systems, ensuring high availability, security, and efficiency. This role includes managing servers, Microsoft O365, and storage systems, as well as supporting cloud environments and end-user devices. The Systems Administrator will proactively monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to optimize IT operations.
Essential Functions:
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and applications, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Monitor system performance, network activity, and application health to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Provide 2nd level escalation support for Help Desk tickets.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to systems and applications in accordance with security policies.
- Administer cloud environments (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Azure) and support hybrid infrastructure setups.
- Perform regular system backups, manage disaster recovery procedures, and ensure data integrity.
- Implement and enforce IT security measures, including antivirus, patch management, and endpoint protection.
- Maintain and update IT documentation, including configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues escalated from the help desk team.
- Support system upgrades, patches, and new technology rollouts, minimizing disruptions to business operations.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure reliable IT services and timely issue resolution.
- Stay up to date on emerging technologies, recommending improvements to enhance system performance and scalability.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience managing user accounts, groups, roles, and conditional access policies in AD.
- Experience with O365 and server security practices and tools.
- PowerShell Scripting to automate O365 administrative tasks, such as bulk user management and reporting.
- Proficiency with server monitoring and management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred but not required.
- 2+ years of experience in systems administrator role or a similar role.
- Microsoft certifications (Azure Admin Associate, M365 Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) preferred.
- Experience using Windows 10/11, Server OS 2016 and newer, and Microsoft 365.
- Microsoft Entra administration and support experience (preferred).
- CompTIA Security+ certification preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
