Attends meetings, workshops, and seminars (e.g. updates on education regulations for migrant students, staff meetings, migrant parent meetings, etc.) for the purpose of gathering information required to perform functions.
Compiles data from a variety of sources (e.g. migrant family demographic information, student records, etc.) for the purpose of complying with financial, legal and/or administrative requirements.
Coordinates a wide variety of projects, functions, and/or program components (e.g. parent/student meetings, in-service events, travel arrangements, home visits, etc.) for the purpose of completing activities and/or delivering services in a timely fashion.
Maintains an inventory of equipment and supplies (e.g. paper, assessment forms, printer supplies, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring availability as needed.
Monitors a wide variety activities (e.g. time sheets for migrant tutors, student attendance, proper coding for requisitions, etc.) for the purpose of achieving goals and meeting target dates in compliance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Performs record keeping and clerical functions (e.g. student records, assessment data, etc.) for the purpose of supporting school administration staff.
Prepares a variety of reports and related documents (e.g. department reports, student attendance records, invitations to parents for advisory council meetings, etc.) for the purpose of providing documentation and information.
Processes documents and materials (e.g. family visit reports, student materials, etc.) for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties.
Records a variety of information (e.g. student records, assessment data, community agency contacts, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the department is current in its records, current practices, and administrative processes.
Researches a variety of topics (e.g. current practices, policies, etc.) for the purpose of providing information and/or recommendations that address a variety of administrative requirements.
Responds to written and verbal inquiries from a variety of internal and external sources (e.g. parents, teachers, community advocates, etc.) for the purpose of providing information and/or providing direction.
Schedules a wide variety of activities (e.g. appointments, meetings, etc.) for the purpose of making necessary arrangements for department personnel.
Supports assigned Migrant department personnel (e.g. teachers, administrators, etc.) for the purpose of providing assistance with their functions and responsibilities.
Experience: Job related experience is required. Education: Community college and/or vocational school degree with study in job-related area. Equivalency: High school diploma or equivalent and at least two (2) years of satisfactory job-related experience. Clearances: Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance, IVP (Identity Verified Print) Fingerprint Clearance Card. Salary: $16.13 Hr 220 Days Position
