Walt Churchill’s Market is looking for a Part-Time Liquor Cashier for our Maumee, OH location.

Job Description:

Liquor Cashiers report to the Beer/Liquor Manager and are responsible for providing customers with a fast and accurate transaction with the store's checkout system while delivering outstanding customer service. Basic math skills are important. Duties also include helping customers in locating store items, ensuring the Liquor department is clean and presentable, and maintaining any environmental services deemed necessary by store management.

Schedule:

The typical shifts for this position are 10am-4pm and 4pm-9pm. Candidate must be available to work both shift times. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service by giving customers full attention during any interaction

• Greet customers in a friendly manner

• Provide customers with a fast and accurate transaction

• Utilize basic math skills to provide customers with accurate change

• Responsible for processing cash, check and electronic transactions accurately

• Bag customers’ groceries, keeping in mind the weight of each bag and separating unlike items

• Confirm proper identification for any purchase of alcohol

• Assist customers in locating store items

• Ensure checkout areas of the store are clean and neat

• Answer incoming phone calls with the appropriate greeting and transfer when necessary

• Communicate with supervisor on duty/management regarding issues with equipment (e.g. scanners, scales, credit card machines, etc.) and supplies

• Any other tasks assigned

Requirements

* Must be at least 21 years of age.
* High school diploma or GED, preferred.

* Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
* Must be able to frequently lift 5-25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
* Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays.
