JOB DUTIES
As a key member of the Facilities Sanitation team, the Facilities Sanitation Technician role will report to the Quality Assurance & Food Safety Manager and will be responsible for the following:
•Lead sanitation efforts in and around the facility in a variety of capacities.
•Responsible for the completion of routine sanitation and preventive maintenance procedures and associated documentation.
•Perform semi-skilled and skilled work in several areas of the building and grounds.
•Ensure appropriate safety measures are taken at every step of the sanitation process.
•Comfortable with or willing to learn the proper use of sanitation chemicals and equipment.
•Develop and maintain an accurate bench stock and consumables inventory.
•Anticipate, predict, record, and report facility and grounds sanitation and maintenance issues.
•Assist in quality inspections of facilities and grounds based on the schedule.
•Become trained and knowledgeable regarding Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP guidelines.
•Ensure facility efficiency and workplace safety by adhering to company policies and procedures.
•Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
•2-3 years' experience in the maintenance and/or sanitation field.
•Strong technical and troubleshooting abilities.
•Experience in a regulated animal feed or food production facility is desirable.
•Willingness to learn and keen attention to detail.
•Ability to work independently to complete required tasks in an efficient manner.
