Location: East Haven Academy/ Joseph Melillo Middle School
Stipend Pay: $4,319.00
Responsibilities:
Create and implement a cohesive vision for middle school production(s) that takes place throughout the school year for students interested in theater including creating and teaching blocking.
Work collaboratively and communicate with the production team and school faculty/staff.
Work with Assistant Director to divide up responsibilities in running Drama Club. This includes but is not limited to designing, organizing and implementing the following: costumes, hair/makeup, lighting, sound, set, paint, props, ticket sales, marketing, run crew, stage management, fundraising, and volunteers.
Requirements/Availability: Prior directing experience, particularly in working with a cast of children. Choreography experience preferred, but not required. Must be available 2 days a week 2:00-5:30 during the audition and rehearsal process. Must be available for the entirety of tech week and performances.
