This position is in office with the capability of remote work at times.


Job Summary: The IT Manager oversees the Credit Union’s IT infrastructure and support services, with a focus on network operations, hardware management, cybersecurity, and help desk operations. This role ensures the delivery of reliable, secure, and efficient technology solutions that support business operations and enhance service to members and employees. The IT Manager supervises technical staff, guides system improvements, and collaborates across departments to implement effective IT solutions aligned with organizational goals.


Essential Functions:

  • Lead the IT team in the pursuit of enhancing end-user experience and improving operational efficiency.
  • Make routine employment decisions, review performance, and make salary recommendations.
  • Assign work, provide training, and guidance, and advise team members as necessary.
  • Assist team members in the creation of a training plan.
  • Develop and maintain department processes, documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of systems through proactive monitoring, incident response, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Manage IT projects including system upgrades and new technology implementations as it pertains to IT infrastructure.
  • Oversee IT help-desk operations to ensure timely and efficient service to end users.
  • Research technology solutions to meet Credit Union needs.
  • Supervise team members that maintain all data communication equipment to ensure an online status for employees and service to our members.
  • Ensure thorough testing of new/modified information systems before release to staff and members.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for technology procurement and support.
  • Maintain and support business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure rapid restoration of critical systems and minimal disruption to operations in the event of an outage or emergency.
  • Participate in audits and oversee remediation of issues found.


Requirements

Job Qualifications, Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  • Experience working in a regulated environment and responding to inquiries and findings of regulators and auditors.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise systems, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
  • Demonstrated ability for attention to detail and superior time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service to internal customers.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to interact tactfully and positively with others.

Mental & Physical Requirements: Requires sitting 6-8 hours a day; Stress related to important decisions. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and occasional after hours as necessary.
