Hybrid Pump Mechanic - 23536 at The Bergaila Companies

We are seeking a Pump Mechanic for assignment in The Dalles, Oregon. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the preventive and corrective maintenance on the wastewater treatment plant and related facilities equipment.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

- Major and minor repair work and overhauls on plant's engines, motors, pumps and related equipment

- Tunes up engines; sets valve clearances; cleans and adjusts regulators, gas and other controls and devices

- Maintains and repairs pumps; replaces bearings, valves, seals and controllers; builds pump mounts and brackets; welding

- Maintains comprehensive log of all maintenance work done on equipment

- Assures adherence to safety, cleanliness and fire prevention rules and standards

- Determines remedial action in emergency situations

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Drivers License

- Experience in the maintenance and repair of pumps, motors, electrical and mechanical equipment
