The Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and supporting the software systems used daily by Goodfellas Pizzeria. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lexington, Kentucky.  This role involves troubleshooting system issues, supporting end users, training staff, and enhancing how software tools are utilized across the organization. The ideal candidate will offer flexible, effective solutions to current technical challenges and play a key role in shaping efficient SOPs company-wide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain IT systems, including operating systems, security tools, and business applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve both technical and user-related software issues.
  • Evaluate current software usage and identify areas for improvement; update SOPs accordingly.
  • Provide in-person support and training at store locations and at the Home Office as needed.
  • Ensure all employees understand the software tools necessary to perform their roles effectively.
  • Lead or participate in projects to streamline processes, integrate systems, and optimize workflows.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to communicate progress and deliver results.

Objectives:

  • Maintain seamless IT operations and system performance.
  • Own key IT projects and contribute to broader business initiatives.
  • Identify and resolve business-critical issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Improve internal processes through technology and analytics.
  • Communicate project status, updates, and results clearly to stakeholders.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Administer servers, user access, security permissions, group policies, and print services.
  • Monitor systems for issues and proactively resolve any hardware/software problems.
  • Perform regular audits and backups to ensure data integrity and operational continuity.
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams to provide troubleshooting and technical support.
  • Build, test, and maintain new systems as required.

Training and Travel:

  • Provide hands-on training to staff on proper software usage.
  • Ensure all team members at various levels are proficient in the tools relevant to their roles.
  • Travel to store locations on an as-needed basis to support software implementation and training.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT systems administration and/or relevant certifications.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, PHP, SQL).
  • Strong understanding of operating systems, system architecture, cloud computing, and performance monitoring tools.
  • Experience in application integration, project management, and IT security best practices.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
