Role: Inside Sales Manager

Location: Cranberry Township, PA


Job Overview

We are seeking a results driven Inside Sales Manager to lead and develop our inside sales team while driving revenue growth through effective organizational strategy, technical product knowledge, and engagement with outside sales and customers. This individual will oversee day-to-day inside sales operations, manage a dynamic team of technical sales representatives of both our units (high volume “Net 30” equipment) and systems (integrated solutions) sales channels. This role will also be responsible for continuous improvement with intercompany processes with cross functional teams such as marketing, engineering, finance, project management, and customer service. 


This position reports to the Sr. Director, Sales Operations, and is based in Cranberry Township, PA. 


Key Responsibilities  

  • Manages the work of others, including responsibilities such as interviewing, selection, coaching, training, and work supervision. Performs employee performance planning and reviews:

      - Half year and annual performance reviews and goal planning.

       -Meets on a regular basis (at minimum, weekly) with each direct report, to review progress

         vs. goals and general check-in.

  • Serves as a mentor to team, for both units and systems team individuals to continuously develop through team building. 
  • Assists the Sr. Director, Sales Operations by taking the lead in areas such as planning and running team meetings, department initiatives, continuous improvement actions, etc.
  • Promotes the personal growth of direct reports by guiding them in their work, as well as on teams and improvement projects. Guides others as they seek to obtain knowledge of Conair equipment and processes.
  • Travels as required (minimal) to key accounts to present quotations and support our sales efforts. 
  • Provides Conair management with frequent updates on sales operations statistics, such as quote performance of team and win rate by product line. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or industrial Engineering preferred. Experience with manufacturing capital equipment preferred. 
  • Position typically expects five (5)+ years of direct/relevant experience in a B2B manufacturing environment, (2)+ years of experience in a sales leadership or management role is preferred. 
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; Assists direct reports in applying proper communication and communication strategies.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret business correspondence.
  • Skillful interpersonal skills; aids direct reports in applying interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Practiced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, salesforce, SAP, Oracle CPQ, etc. Understanding of AutoCAD is a plus. Guides direct reports on utilizing appropriate software tools.
  • Must be adaptable and able to effectively manage in a dynamic environment.
