POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Marketing Services Manager, the Specialist, Creative is tasked to quickly define, create, and produce striking multi-media marketing that clearly communicates the strategic brand and tactical business objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with internal and external resources, designs marketing pieces that accomplishes strategic and tactical goals while adhering to brand guidelines.
- Defines a project plan that efficiently moves the project from initial ideation through production and final deployment.
- Able to work on multiple projects concurrently, often with shifting priorities and with many internal stakeholders.
- Independently prepares original video, photographs, or any other form of content in accordance with brand guidelines.
- Writes copy, as needed, for marketing pieces such as posters, menu boards, or advertising.
- Proofs all materials to ensure accurate copy, menu/nutritional/pricing information, and obtains appropriate approvals prior to final production.
- Produces certain materials in-house, which may require printing, laminating, mounting and more.
- Possesses technical proficiency to be able to coordinate or negotiate with outside service providers.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Other duties as assigned
- Conducts occasional store audits to ensure brand compliance
- Must have a working knowledge of digital marketing such that creative can transcend media siloes.
Requirements
Scheduling:
- Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Occasional work outside of scheduled hours as needed
- This position is eligible for remote work
Physical Ability:
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
- Occasional lifting of boxes up to 20 pounds
- Sitting most of the day
- Reaching/bending frequently
- Good speech and hearing necessary for communicating within the marketing department, to other employees, managers and the public, talking on the telephone, and when representing Zippy’s or other corporate brands at events/functions.
- Sight for performing computer work.
Mental Ability:
- Good decision-making skills (uses independent judgment)
- Good assessment skills
- Planning/organizational skills (ability to set long-term or short-term goals, measures, time frames, and coordinate multiple tasks/activities, prioritize)
- Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language required
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Must pass drug screening test
- Be fully vaccinated to FCH standard, or be willing to complete the full vaccination regimen to meet FCH’s definition of fully vaccinated
Environmental Conditions:
- Air-conditioned, office environment
Education:
- Minimum: High school diploma or G.E.D., with a portfolio of work that can be evaluated
- Preferred: two or four year degree in graphics, studio art, photography, video/film, or digital marketing, with a portfolio of work that can be evaluated
Experience:
- At least one year of graphic design, studio art, photography, video/film, or digital marketing experience.
Desired Skills:
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. Some proficiency with Word, Excel, and web content management systems.
- Good communication skills (oral and written)
