The Role

Reporting to the Brisbane Operations Manager – Transition, the Bulk Product & Asset Management Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient and timely handling, storage and distribution of bulk and packaged fertiliser products while delivering exceptional customer service and supply chain integration. Based at our new Brisbane Operations facility on Fisherman Island, you will have the opportunity to contribute and shape a purpose-built site featuring modern bulk blending, dispatch, bagging and liquid coating capabilities.

 

Role Responsibilities:

    • Lead and provide daily oversight of operations including planning, scheduling, site logistics and inventory management as well as the receipt and distribution of imported and interplant product deliveries.
    • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and influence outcomes, combined with experience in overseeing third party contracts and contractors to build strong partnerships and achieve results.
    • Coordinate the execution of planned and reactive maintenance, driving contractor performance and ensuring asset reliability and availability.
    • Contribute to and ensure execution of asset lifecycle strategies and manage major component changeouts.
    • Support and lead root cause analysis and implement improvement actions.
    • Promote and ensure compliance with IPF HSE standards, procedures and legislative requirements, fostering a strong Zero Harm culture.
    • Identify and implement process improvements across operations, logistics flows, and inventory practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

 

What you’ll bring

  • 10+ years in maintenance execution or coordination (highly desirable)
  • 5+ years in warehousing, distribution, materials handling or logistics – ideally in fertiliser or similar industries
  • Strong operational planning, HSE and people leadership skills
  • Experience in management of third party contracts and contractors
  • Strong Knowledge of SAP, CMMS and automated packing/bulk handling systems
  • Qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or a relevant trade with leadership experience
