- Instructs individuals and groups in special education skill areas.
- Plans curriculum, lessons, and special education programs and teaching methods.
- Evaluates and monitors student progress.
- Maintains physical environment of the classroom.

- The noise level in the environment is variable depending upon the activities in the environment.
- The employee must constantly work to meet deadlines.
- Certain teaching positions in special education dealing with more severely involved students will be at greater risk to exposure to infection than the average person; whereas, teachers working with behaviorally disordered students will be more involved with confrontational and assaultive behaviors.

| SALARY Salary will be commensurate with the level of education and experience of the recommended candidate. Range: Career Path I: $46,000 - $65,500 Career Path II: $47,500 - $91,000 |
