4 Day School Week
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
In partnership with the Principal, and under the supervision of the principal, this position provides site-based leadership to increase student achievement by implementing and maintaining effective educational programs and services for students and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Valid Arizona Principal certificate
- Master's Degree in related field
- Instructional Coach experience (preferred)
- A minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience resulting in improved student learning
- Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Ability to work independently and supervise others
- Demonstrated leadership experience in data driven decision-making
- Effective presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with staff and community
- Evidence of ability to effectively use technology to perform duties
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Assist the Principal with evaluation of instructional staff
- Implement student discipline management practices that support changes in student behavior, effective classroom instruction, and a safe school environment
- Oversees responsibility for the school-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.
- Collaborates with school counselor to implement effective social emotional learning skill development
- Design and deliver behavior intervention for Tier 2 or Tier 3 students
- Provide leadership with student attendance
- Assist with planning, organizing, and implementation of all school co-curricular and extracurricular activities
- Assist in the recruiting, screening, hiring, training, and assigning of the school's certified and classified staff
- Develop teacher leaders and effective grade-level or content-area teams
- Assist with facilitating staff development in alignment with the district's professional development calendar and school improvement plan
- Work with the building Principal and administrative team to implement meaningful student assessment, data collection and analysis to effectively monitor student growth, and inform educational practice.
- Assist with the school budget and monitoring of discretionary funds
- Coordinate school academic teams in support of individual students and review individual learning plans and progress toward goals
- Assume responsibility for the implementation and observance of all Board policies and regulations by the school's staff and students
- Work productively as a school leadership team member to design and implement school improvement plans and monitor progress toward goals
- Assist with planning and conducting meetings, in-services and workshops for staff and community as needed
- Attend meetings, district activities, and training as assigned
- Maintain open communication with students, parents, community and staff
- Continue personal and professional development through involvement in professional organizations and by attending and presenting at professional conferences, conducting colleague visits, facilitating school visitation, writing for publication, and engaging in professional reading
- Represent the district in a professional manner, and in the best interests of the district
- Perform additional duties and accept other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Principal and administrative staff

Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The employee regularly works indoors.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
