POSTING
THE PLYMOUTH PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT IS SEEKING AN ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL FOR PLYMOUTH CENTER SCHOOL (GRADES PreK – 2)
QUALIFICATIONS: Connecticut Administrative Certificate (092). A minimum of three (3) years of successful administrative experience is preferred; outstanding leadership skills in elementary school education; an ability to supervise, evaluate, and effectively motivate staff in a collaborative professional environment; a proficiency in analyzing student data to facilitate the improvement of student learning; excellent written, interpersonal and oral communication skills; an understanding and appreciation of the characteristics of a variety of learners at the elementary level; knowledge of and experience in elementary school scheduling and programming including SRBI and workshop approach.
RESPONSIBLITIES: Each principal is directly responsible to the Superintendent of Schools. The building principal is responsible for: the supervision and administration of the school; the implementation of curriculum, instruction and assessment in accordance with goals and objectives of the Plymouth Public Schools; working with individual teachers in the evaluation, planning, and improvement of their teaching; maintaining discipline and building a positive school climate; recruiting and interviewing prospective teachers; supervising and evaluating certified and non-certified staff members; developing and maintaining a close and cooperative relationship with parents and the community; performing other such tasks assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.
SALARY: Excellent benefits in accordance with the administrative contract. Salary range: $149,370 – $157,031
Placement is dependent on experience and educational background.
