About the Opportunity
We are seeking experienced General Managers to oversee high-profile, luxury residential communities in San Francisco and Los Angeles. These are leadership roles for professionals who excel in operations, client relationships, and building strong, service-driven teams. Ideal candidates will bring proven expertise in community association management and the ability to deliver a first -class resident experience.
What You'll Do
Serve as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors, homeowners, and Action Property Management.
Lead, mentor, and inspire the on-site team to exceed performance expectations.
Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the property maintains the highest standards of service, appearance, and compliance.
Prepare and manage annual budgets; monitor financial performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the community’s goals.
Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, ensuring quality service delivery.
Address and resolve homeowner concerns promptly and professionally.
Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as Action's internal policies.
What We're Looking For
Proven success as a General Manager or Community Association Manager for a luxury residential property or large-scale HOA. Luxury high-rise mixed use building experience is a plus!
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Expertise in budgeting, reserve studies, financial oversight, and vendor management.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client facing environment.
CMCA certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
Effective presentation skills.
How You'll Make an Impact
You will be the expert consultant to the Association and the Board of Directors on matters concerns:
California Common Interest Development law and high rise requirements
Davis Stirling Common Interest Development Action
Civil Codes applicable to non-compliance issues
Education / Certifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
CMCA certification preferred or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
