Our Downtown Berkeley office spans the 6th and 7th floors with panoramic views of San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the Berkeley Hills. It’s already a modern, stylish, well-equipped workspace—but it’s ready for someone who’s excited to take it to the next level. We’re looking for a calm-under-pressure, proactive, detail-obsessed team player who sees facilities and experience as critical to employee happiness and productivity.
You’ll be a key member of our close-knit, high-performing People Team, working closely with IT, Executive Support, and other stakeholders to ensure our environment runs smoothly and makes every employee feel supported. This is a highly visible, onsite role—ideal for someone who loves creating a first-class office experience and has a sharp eye for improvement.
Responsibilities
Own day-to-day operations of our Berkeley office, ensuring it is a welcoming, efficient, and inspiring space
Manage and build strong partnerships with vendors, contractors, and building management
Lead facilities upkeep and improvement projects
Manage and continually optimize daily lunch, beverage, and snack offerings with a focus on employee satisfaction and cost-efficiency
Support regular in-person events, including evening and off-hours activities (e.g. all-hands, executive visits, happy hours, game nights)
Plan and execute a Summer Social and Holiday Party for our Berkeley staff
Handle emergency facility issues with urgency and poise
Collaborate cross-functionally with Corporate IT, Executive Support, and People Operations to align on workplace standards
Lead swag procurement, storage, and fulfillment for new hires, teams, and events
Supervise and direct onsite Day Porters
Support onboarding by preparing workspaces, coordinating tours, and welcoming new hires
Maintain and improve systems for tracking office seating, inventory, and workspace assignments
Evaluate and improve internal requests for responsiveness and employee satisfaction
Own space presentation and be a proactive steward of cleanliness, functionality, and aesthetics
Requirements
5+ years in workplace, office management, facilities, or hospitality operations in high-touch environments
Fully committed to being onsite 5 days a week and supporting occasional evening events on a monthly basis
Proven ability to independently manage projects from start to finish, with strong ownership and accountability
Demonstrated experience juggling competing priorities with calmness, efficiency, and confidence
Strong follow-through skills with a reputation for delivering on time
Outstanding communication—verbal and written—with careful attention to detail and tone
Service mindset with a natural desire to make others’ experiences better
High comfort level interacting with executives and responding to urgent, high-visibility needs
Experience working with external vendors, property managers, and facilities teams
Collaborative, proactive, and energized by helping people
Process-oriented and comfortable improving, automating, or documenting workflows
Comfortable using tools like MS Office Suite, Jira and Confluence
Creative flair for space design, layout planning, and presentation—bonus points for visual or interior design instinct
The base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000 in the location(s) of this posting. Individual salaries are determined through a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Base salary does not include other forms of total compensation such as bonus compensation and other benefits. Our benefits package includes medical, dental and vision coverage, life and AD&D insurance, 20 days of paid time off, 9 sick days, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
