About the Department
Under general policy direction, plans, organizes, and directs the Animal Services Department; advises the City Manager and the Mayor and City Council on the operations of animal services including veterinary care, field enforcement, shelter care, licensing and immunization, and administrative services; and performs related duties as assigned. Director of Animal Services is responsible for managing, directing and integrating the functions, programs, and activities of the Animal Services Department. Responsibilities are broad in scope and involve highly sensitive and publicly visible operations, projects and processes that require a high degree of policy, program and administrative discretion and high ethical standards.
An annual salary of $159,352.32 - $193,687.08 (DOQ) and an attractive benefits package.
